About Laura Finestone

 

Laura Finestone is the founder and president of VIA Associates, established in 1994. Her company and the Vision In Action programs are the culmination of 30 years of experience as an entrepreneurial and executive coach and acclaimed workshop leader.

laura finestoneLaura brings her unique blend of analytical judgment, deep creativity, intuition, and insight into human nature to help clients from all industries and walks of life achieve successful careers, business expansions, and organizational turnarounds. Her work has allowed her to observe — first hand — the skills, expertise, and talents needed to create successful professionals and dynamic companies: clear vision, sound strategy, and superior execution.

After earning a B.A. in psychology and communications from the State University of New York at Brockport, Laura spent many years as a consultant, working with Firth Associates, Management Technologies and Werner Erhard and Associates. Her client list has included executives and managers from Price Waterhouse, project teams from NASA, and entrepreneurs from renewable-energy and “green business” startups.  She has also trained other trainers, coaches, and public speakers and is a principal of the Verdant Consulting Group. Her book, Vision in Action: 8 Steps for Transforming Your Dreams into Reality, was published in early 2010.

Laura currently resides in upstate New York, where she volunteers with youth as an environmental education instructor. She enjoys hiking the thousands of acres of New York State Parks, and is an avid long-distance swimmer.
